Gum Treatment & Cleaning

Gum Treatment & Cleaning in Rajkot

Gum disease treatment removes plaque and hardened tartar from above and below the gum line to stop bleeding, bad breath and bone loss around teeth. A routine scaling and polishing takes 30–45 minutes; advanced cases need root planing or flap surgery. Gum disease is the leading cause of adult tooth loss and is largely reversible when caught early.

When you may need gum treatment & cleaning

  • Gums that bleed when brushing or eating.
  • Persistent bad breath or a bad taste.
  • Receding gums, sensitivity, or teeth that look longer than before.
  • Loose or shifting teeth in adults.

Why have it done at Vinayak Multispeciality Dental Clinic

Dr. Pallavi Mahavadiya (MDS — Periodontology & Implantology) leads this treatment at the clinic, with 6 years of experience.

Every case begins with imaging and a written treatment plan that includes the cost, so you know what is happening and what it will total before treatment starts. Instruments are autoclaved and opened in front of you, and our team explains each step in Gujarati, Hindi or English — whichever you are most comfortable with.

The clinic is on Sadhu Vasvani Road near Patidar Chowk in Rajkot, a short drive from Kalawad Road, University Road and the Race Course area, with parking available on site.

Questions about gum treatment & cleaning

Does scaling loosen or damage teeth?

No — this is the most common myth about cleaning. Scaling removes the tartar that was masking existing bone loss; the teeth were already loose. Ultrasonic scaling does not remove enamel.

How often should teeth be cleaned professionally?

Once every six months for most people. Smokers, diabetics, orthodontic patients and anyone with a history of gum disease usually need it every three to four months.
